Apple will no longer let customers re-download games and apps that have been removed from the App Store [Update] Updated on October 7th, at 20:02: Touch Arcade is saying that it was contacted by Apple’s US PR team after reporting on our story, and was told that there has been no change in policy on this matter.

We have followed up with our source at Apple’s PR team in Europe and will update the story in the morning.

If an app that you own is removed from the App Store, you will no longer be able to download it from your purchase history, an Apple spokesperson has told Pocket Gamer.

Recently, a number of games have been pulled from the App Store by their creators for various reasons. Telltale has pulled The Walking Dead to fix bugs, and Disney has removed Monkey Island 2 because it was too old.
